Airport
The Macedonian airport, at the area of Mikra, is the second largest airport of Greece and is linked with most destinations of Europe and the Balkan countries. To get from the airport to the centre of the town, will take you from 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the traffic. Taking a taxi, it will cost you from 15 euros. You can go to the centre of the town using the bus number 78, paying a 0.60 cents ticket.
Public transport
You can cover most of the distances in the city on foot or using the local buses (tel: +30 2310 981100, 185). You can ask the reception in your hotel or even someone in the street to tell you where to take the right bus for your destination. At the airport you may find some rental companies if you want to rent a car or a motorbike.
Pharmacy
Each pharmacy in Thessaloniki has a notice in the window showing which are open out of normal hours and their addresses. Wherever there is a doctor you may see a sign with a cross most of the times. Some of them may have in their sign an emergency number as well.
